Love everything about this car with the exception of the bad mileage. This is a V6 AWD 2010 LT2 model. The first problem was with the USB connector in the center console. The dealer needed quite some time to find and resolve the issue. It seemed that when we finally resolved the 'electrical/IC chip' issue with the USB iPhone interface, suddenly the mileage dropped.
Currently the car's diagnostic average mileage report indicates normal mileage 22-25MPG with freeway driving. When my wife drives 2.5 miles to work, with several stops lights along the way, the mileage drops to 12-14 MPG!!! OMG! on a V6, even with AWD??
We've done our own calculation from fill ups and our numbers return slightly worse results than the onboard computer. All this seemed to stem from the original USB repair. It seems like a transmission programing issue. Found a different dealer and they say it's 'in spec' in all areas. Hmmmm? My wife hates driving this car which seems like a huge gas guzzler at the moment. Anyone else?
