Service Air Bag indicator was intermittent now it is constant. Notifications- Chiming and in the center console LED indicator. When I took it to the dealer garage and ran the code it came up as a Drivers side rear door sensor. No accidents, harsh use or abuse.

Dealer estimates $245 for the fix. “We have only seen front pad sensors that have rusted never a side door indicator”??? After 55K miles many items have gone wrong. We are meticulous in taking care and servicing our vehicles. Although I must say our Hondas never gave us issues like this!

I am getting an intermittent air bag service light. The indicator is not constant. It will pop on and stay on sometimes and other times will go out. I can drive a few days with no light, others it will pop on for an hour then go out. It seems more like a loose sensor connection versus air bag defect. The dealer fixed before, but the problem continue, after some months later

Equinox LS 2.4L L4

So we bought the Equinox new and in the first month the air bag sensor started going off. The dealer said to just hit the menu button to get rid of it and up until a couple months ago that would work. Still waiting on a call back from the dealer service department to find out the cost to fix. If you get out and wiggle the wires under the driver seat it will turn off and stop binging for about 10 minutes but will kick back on after that. Seriously irritating on a long drive.
