The contact owns a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, she became aware that the vehicle was handling poorly, after which the tire pressure system service light illuminated. Upon parking the vehicle, the contact smelled a burning odor around the exterior of the vehicle. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 11V511000 (Tires), but the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was 78,000.

The contact owns a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox. While operating the vehicle, the tire pressure monitoring system erroneously indicated that the air pressure in the rear passenger tire was low. The contact inspected the tire and determined that the air pressure was normal. The cause of the failure was not diagnosed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact was informed that the VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number 11V511000 (wheels). The contact stated that the vehicle experienced the same failure listed in the recall. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 53,000.
