paint is flaking off, rusting paint is flaking off, rusting

I have a 2015 Chevy Equinox with peeling flaking paint. The dealer told us that our vehicle needed a paint job due to the damage being caused by the Florida environment. However, in response to our complaint, GM said there was nothing they could do because it was out of warranty. Peeling paint has NEVER been an issue with vehicles I have owned for over 15 years. Yet, six years after purchasing this Equinox, it is literally peeling away, and somehow I am responsible. In my opinion, this is NOT environmental damage; it is negligence from a company I've supported for over 30 years. It is a shame!

The paint is peeling/fading on the roof as well as in front where the windshield is. I was told that it needs to get fixed. If it doesn't get fixed, it can keep rusting and I can lose the windshield in an accident. I can't afford to get it fixed out of pocket. The dealership suggested touch up paint. The area is rusted and I don't think that will help the issue.

Paint is flaking off and rust spot are becoming more predominate, especially around the lift handle. This seems like either cheap paint or a manufacturing problem. I own a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer and there is no rust on the tailgate at all, and we live in Michigan.

Detailing the vehicle today and noticed quite a bit of rust/peeling of paint on the bottom inside drivers side rear door. None of the other doors are showing this

Then also notice about 50 cent piece size of rust/peeling paint under the chrome bar below the emblem on the outside of the tail gate. I do not recall that being there the past few times I've washed and hand dried the vehicle.

My warranty was up in march, I noticed small rust blisters on my liftgate & took the car to a local dealer. He wrote a report for us to have when we spoke with the gm adviser. The only reason he wrote was corrosion. When we spoke with the adviser she stated he said it was caused from rocks hitting the liftgate which is totally ridiculous .Received a letter from gm that this matter is closed and they have deemed it environmental. The car has 25,000 miles on it this is such bull.

I only had the car a little over a year when I noticed the paint was flecking off the edge of the liftgate. When I looked closer, it was rusted. Then looking at the whole rear liftgate panel, I noticed small rust dots all over the bottom portion of the panel.

This was very disappointing and perplexing since I keep it in the garage when not in use.
