While driving home, I was passing a slower vehicle. As I was accelerating the pedal dropped to the floor and stuck. The cruise control was on standby( the white dial showing on my dash). I tried to put on the brakes and that wasn't working. I turned the cruise control off, nothing still kept accelerating. Finally when we were at approximately 90 miles, the pedal popped up on its own and we were able to slow down. Luckily it was late evening so there was no traffic ahead of me and we were on a long stretch of road. If there had been more traffic out, we could have been in a horrible accident and been killed or killed someone else!! I am totally afraid to drive my car now.
