paint is flaking off paint is flaking off

Very disappointed about all the paint flaking off my van. I have taken very good care of this van and it looks awful. I have noticed several other vans like mine with paint flaking off. Sad that the quality of the paint / primer wasn't better. This van was not cheap! It shouldn't look like it does.

About a year ago, the paint started peeling off my hood and right passenger door. At first, I thought it might have been due to something hitting the hood but now every time it rains and I drive through it, more paint is washing off the hood and it is starting to bubble underneath. It looks like paint that was applied without using a primer. A very good auto shop has estimated the cost to repaint the hood and right door at almost $700 or more than $3,000 to repaint the entire van. I know there are cheaper paint jobs but this place actually does a good job but I don't want to pay that much to repaint a 2006 van. I have recently notice several other GMC and Chevrolet vans and trucks with peeling paint like mine and I don't think my problem is unique. My Chevrolet service manager claims my van is the only one he has seen with the problem and will do nothing to help.

Update from Jul 9, 2013: Had hood and right (passenger) door painted. Body shop did a very professional job and it cost $752.67. Now paint is beginning to come off rain gutters on roof!

This is silly, The paint is falling off the body. There is no rust, it is just coming off in big flakes, exposing bare steal underneath. Its too bad I like chevys, have a 2011 Suburban too. This is on my fleet that I use for tours, I have several of them and it is happening to all of them.
