My electrical system has a mind of its own. I have had the power window (motor) in the back go out and that had to be replaced. I have purchased an OBD II for diagnostic purposes, but sometimes it shows "no code" -- and yes, the check engine light does go on and off. And, no it is not a "loose gas cap" (wish it was).
So, I have no resolutions to the electrical problems. As for the power steering (potential) problem, I feel it is there. I have a strange noise coming from the power steering when it is turned too hard. Turning radius is horrible on my Malibu, too.
