Shoulder belt with hoop attached to head rest comes across driver's neck, even after adjusting seat. When brakes were applied hard, shoulder belt choked the driver. Owner stated that he examined newer models and noticed hoops were smaller and attached at a different location. The seat belts are very uncomfortable while in motion. The seat belt guides ride on the side of your neck instead of the shoulder. This has resulted in the driver and passenger receiving brush burns. Consumer later found out that in the middle of 2001 the guide design had been changed. Consumer had the guides ordered and replaced.
