Paint on wheel well rims is peeling away from metal, basically failure of base coat to remain in contact with the metal. The paint is peeling away in one sheet all the way from front to back of rear wheel fender well rims & continues up the outside of fender quarter panel. Paint flaking off front wheel fender well rims & starting to peel away from outside of fender quarter panel. Have had back ones redone by body mechanic but within less than 6 months peeled again. I redid myself grinding off all surface rust that had started, used GM paint kit with base coat, car color & clear coat but paint again peeling off from metal. Just won't stick to car.
I would like to have it fixed properly somehow but don't have money to do it & feel that it is a defect from manufacturing standpoint. Please advise asap before paint really starts coming off outside of quarter panels.
