Brakes have inconsistently pulled vehicle to the left during abrupt stopping--brake linings subsequently prmaturely failed on left front of vehicle, without warning, causing metal to metal contact and the destruction of the rotor. Very poor engineering on the part of Chevrolet is producing inferior quality brakes.
Ongoing erratic operation of brake system; front brake pads have been replaced on three different occasions. Also, front left brake rotors were replaced once within 10,000-11,000 miles of wear. Seeking help from NHTSA in this matter.
I have taken to chev.2-3 times and told nothing is wrong.a friend took his to a brake place and the mechanic told him what was wrong before he looked at it because he also owned an S10 and described the same problem / what I am wanting to know is are there simular problems been documented because I haven't found any, if so what is the cure
When the brakes are applied the pedal goes to the floor, resulting in extended stopping distance. The dealer has replaced the calipers and the pads on the left front brakes. The dealer has been notified.
