Full catastrophic failure of the transmission. Worked fine for the trip home and went out the next day and it didn't seem quite right. Got to where I was going and put it into reverse and nothing happened. Drive, same problem. Vehicle had to be towed. Dealer claims there were metal chunks in the pan and transmission needed to be replaced. There was no fix other then that.

The truck has been well maintained, every recommend maintenance has been done on time.

The day before the complete failure the truck jerked once, up until then there were no signs of any trouble with the transmission. I called my mechanic and he said to bring it in the following day. The next day I was headed there and a half mile from my house it failed in the middle of the highway. I was able to get it off the road by backing up which was very dangerous but had to get it off the road. I had it towed the rest of the way, its far too new to be having these problems.

I was a Ford fan my whole life. I needed a new truck and Chevy had amazing rebates. I actually liked the truck when I bought it but shortly after things started rubbing off. The radio buttons ETC. Let me remind you its barley a year old. I was driving up our driveway and I thought I felt it slip a little but I was like naa no way, brand new truck. The next day on my way to work I floored it to pass somebody and all my gears were gone. I ended up getting a Ford F150 eco boost to pull me off the road. Long story short less then a year old and already having problems and print falling off. Chevy for me has always been crap and I promise you I will never buy another.
