Rear seat belts don't retract, I had dealership look at them and it would be my problem to replace them. I have done research and it appears this is a regular problem on these Silverado
The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. While driving up a bumpy gravel, making a turn and hit a small pothole, all four air bags deployed without warning and the seat belt seized. In addition, the power steering failed and the engine stalled. The contact had to cut the air bags to see the road and drive safely to his residence. The contact sustained face, neck, and shoulder injuries that did not require medical attention. The contact called a body shop and was informed that there would be a fee for the repair. The contact took the vehicle to lou bachrodt automall (7070 cherryvale N blvd, rockford, il 61112, (815) 332-3000) and was informed to contact the GM manufacturer because they could not assist with the air bag and seat belt failures. The manufacturer was made aware of the failures and provided case number: (xxx). The failure mileage was approximately 87,000. * ac when out yesterday is only 5 years old I search on youtube and a lot people has the same problem is funny because some people say is common this problem no is not General Motors sure make a recall and fixed. Bag light is on after my 2 nd year *rear middle seat won't latch
Both driver side and passenger side seatbelts in the back seat will not retract. When passengers pull out the seatbelts to buckle themselves in, the seatbelt then has slack and will not retract at all. This makes it very unsafe for passengers and children riding in the back seat. This problem began occuring around May 2018.

I've had to get a new paint job because clear coat was coming off. Egnition switch locked up. Check engine light has come on multiple times I take it to the dealership and they say nothing is wrong with it. But tell me I can't let it get below a half tank of gas. Back axles lock up. And seat belts lock when going about 50 miles per hour. And the air condenser cought on fire. Now when I take it to the dealership they say they can not diagnose the problem. I have spent around $6000 in repairs
Take my 2014 vehicle in for service on a broken pretension cable. This was on recall in 2016. I was told the broken cable was not on recall. After reading the call info, I called the dealer and was told I needed to call Chevy Corp. Chevy Corp said its not an issue. I believe the cable is broken because the recall (fix) did nothing. Now I have to pay and put a small claims against Chevy.. I truly believe this recall was not done properly and the cable will break on all Silverado. I have pictures of the broken cable and will have the parts for future inquiries. Please advise what I should do next.
We have a crew cab and the back seat passenger and driver side seat belts became nonfunctional after we had had the vehicle for only one year. We used the seat belts in a normal fashion. It does not seem reasonable that the belts and retractors would break after normal use for one year. The front seat belts were recalled and worked on, so we are wondering if the back seat belts should be recalled also.
I bought this truck one month ago and was told there were no recalls. When I went in for service three recalls were found. I was lied to by the car dealer and I feel my life is in danger.
The seat belt does not tighten up to your lap or shoulder after being snapped to the stationary piece. The belt continues to do this even after reporting to dealership cook Chevrolet in craig Colorado and taking there for them to repair.they gave me a 400 estimate and did not repair I assume this would be found on most of these vehicles from poor materials, I will repair this issue myself since I cannot trust Chevrolet workmanship.
I ran the VIN for our vehicle and contacted the local Chevrolet dealership. I gave them the VIN, they explained that there was two recalls, so I made an appointment to have them fixed (both safety related). Upon arrival - they said there was no recall in there system. I checked both the NHTSA and GM recall sites, and they both show the issue as unresolved. Manufacturer recall number 2016007, NHTSA recall number 16V651 and N150822, 16V209. The dealership claims there is nothing under our VIN.

Was in a accident and only the curtain air bags deployed. Was only and right front low speed bump and the truck barely hit and did night tilt. I paid out of pocket for repairs but the curtain air bags. Now trouble codes show everything as a open circuit. I feel the wrong airbags deployed. This truck only has 23000 miles on it too.
