I have had this happened randomly for a few weeks now. When I try to steer the truck, my dash lights, and radio go out. The steering wheel violently jerks out of my hand and locks up solid losing ALL steering control. The “Service Stabilitrak†comes on. Then next message “ Steering Assist is Reduced Drive with Care†I can't replicate the problem when I want to, It just happens without warning. I found a link on youtube from a guy whose dealer found some bad grounds on a few of the control modules.
Here it is:

This a very dangerous problem. I am considering having it towed to the dealer because it's frightening.
Update from Oct 3, 2016: I took the truck to my dealer. They were familiar with this problem- They had received a service bulletin and a corrective action was performed. They cleaned and tightened 3 ground connections one of which was G218, the ground point for the Body computer and Engine computer. So far, the problem has not happened since.
