After using my 4 wheel drive to get through a muddy area and returned to the highway my ABS / STABILITRAC lights came on and will not turn off . Next day i start up my 2015 chevy silverado and it still will not turn off . Called customer service to see if there is a problem with this happening to others and was told i'd have to pay a dealership to fix it only if it was caused by a pump ? If there is a recall on these sensors then why should i have to pay for it ?

I was driving at the store with my family when I get to the parking lot I try to stop and my truck just keeps going .I have to use the parking brake to stop the truck. That was hard to believe, so I drove around and keep doing it. The 2nd and 3rd time I stomp really hard on the brake pedal so I could stop. Look under the truck to see if brake fluid was dry. I open the hood and the brake fluid level was fine. My truck is at home and it is not safe to drive.

Brake system is not working or ABS activated when I drove at low speed. I ignored it once in July 2017. But I have same issue again on Aug. 31 and Sep 1 at the parking lot. I almost hit the car in front of me. I searched web and found that many people had same issue. Why GM/Chevy is not fixing this issue? They do not know how to fix or redesign the ABS system?

I started to experience the problem shortly after the warranty ran out. Complained to the dealer and was told the vacuum pump was shot and it would cost 500 to fix. Imagine that right after the warranty runs out. The problem is that the anti-lock brakes kick in at very low speeds. It is hard to stop the vehicle with basically no brakes, so obviously it needs to be fixed.
