Brake pedal gets very hard when driving at slow speeds and in reverse. Makes a ticking sound like the anti lock brakes are kicking in but no dash lights illuminate. Almost rear ended a vehicle travelling 25mph but was able to pull in a parking lot to avoid collision. Truck has 79xxx miles
Hard braking at low speeds. Brake pedal becomes hard and truck hard to stop. Possible brake booster defect. Attempting to park in parking stall, had to put truck in N to stop. Commuting to work in traffic at low speed and pedal becomes hard, truck hard to stop.
When taking a long, rather sharp turn on the highway, the vehicle was resisting against the turn making it difficult to maneuver the vehicle. At the same time, the brakes began to initiate when the pedal was stepped, but immediately became very hard and could barely slow or stop the vehicle. Almost hit the vehicle in front due to the delay and difficulty in braking.
Brake system was not working properly when I drove at low speed. I ignored it once in July 2017. But I had same issue again on Aug. 31 and Sep 1 at the parking lot. I almost hit the car in front of me. I fixed my issue at Chevy dealer, and they replaced vacuum pump. (~42000 miles on the truck)
At low speed with stop and go traffic loss of brake assist/boost. First application of the brakes was normal. After release and reapplication, brake boost was lost, pedal became very hard and vehicle failed to stop.

About 41000 miles on my truck. I had braking problem when driving at low speed at parking lot. I almost hit the car because I was not able to stop due to the braking issue. I felt loosing pressure while braking. I had this issue 3 times. On July 16, I noticed the issue then it did not happened again. But it came back again on August 31 and September 1. I took my truck to dealer and they replaced vacuum pump. I found that many people had same issue but no recall. I had to spent about $500 for new vacuum pump.
The brake assist warning light came on while driving and the could not brake properly the brake pedal was really hard to brake. A;most had a wreck cause I could brake properly on time
Power brakes stop working at low speeds. It seems the vacuum pump is failing. Sometimes at low speeds the brake pedal goes hard and requires alot of extra effort to stop. I almost ran into the rear of a car in a drive-thru.
At a low speed coming into my carport the brakes had a hard pedal and would not stop. This has happened on two occasions. 5-27-2017 and again while backing up to my lawn mower tailor on 5-29-2017. Not sure what the problem is but you could not press pedal down at all. "???"
I went to back out my driveway at low speeds and the brakes did not apply. I put it in drive and applied the brakes and they failed again. I applied the gas and went on my way the brakes seemed to work fine. But from idle to slow speeds (1-10 mph) the brakes fail and I have to press the brake as hard as I can or it will continue to roll. Have dodged several cars at red lights.
Front brakes on left side stick and wear unevenly and rapidly. I have had front brakes replaced twice with 80% pad life on right side by midas. Midas stated that there is a service advisory to replace the left side piston/caliper and a new hose which is larger allowing the brakes to release properly.
While driving my family, I lost over 90% of my stopping power while exiting the highway on an off ramp. Luckily it happened when I had already slowed down off the ramp to get off the highway (and not just moments before while on the highway). After extreme caution and smart use of down-shifting and the emergency brake, I was able to slowly navigate into a parking lot that was really close to where the incident first happened. After having the truck towed to my dealer, the service department said it was a vacuum pump failure and replaced it (note that they offered no other explanation other than what failed and that it was fixed). The truck seems to be okay for now, but I am very concerned about my (and my family's) safety and overall reliability of this truck. Who's to say it won't happen again while I'm in a more high-speed situation?
Vehicle in motion on city street, ABS light came on sporadically. While ABS light was on, braking system would engage. Two days after incident, ABS shows constant, all the time, ABS brakes randomly engage.
Front brakes completely worn at 12,000 miles. Dealer replaced rotors and pads free of charge. Vehicle now has 20,000 miles on it, and front pads are worn prematurely again.
Check trailer wiring warning - while driving down the road at different speeds, weather, smooth versus rough roads, while pulling two different trailers, the truck indicates to check the wiring and 1 second later it indicated the trailer is connected. It may happen several times in a mile and then not occur for 50 miles. One time there was a message to check the brake controller. This happens each time I hook a trailer up to the truck. Truck is at the dealer and they are saying there is nothing wrong with the truck. 6 months ago when I pulled the same trailers with my 2012 Chevy pickup, I did not have this concern. Only started with the new truck. Is a concern when the trailer brakes do not work during this time. This could be a serious problem when I tow my travel trailer again.

Takata recall I got a recall notice and tried to make an appointment at the dealership I bought the vehicle. No appointments were allowed. You arrive at eight am and it will take a least 4 hours to do. The letter stated 40 minutes or less. I cannot take a whole day off of work to do this so I guess my life is in jeopardy.
I was involved in an accident on 1/15/16 in which I was sideswiped by another vehicle. Upon impact, I had no brakes and no steering control. This caused me to rear end another vehicle and hit a tree head on. The airbags never deployed. I was unable to stop the vehicle or control it. I could have been killed or killed someone else. I am very concerned. I have had the truck in the shop on several occasions with electrical issues, yet the dealership could not find anything or it was minor corrections. I have been very concerned with the electronics of this vehicle since I bought the truck in August 2015. The insurance company totaled the truck.
