2021 the driver side seatbelt broke which resulted in a recall. Same thing has happened again; the thick metal coil within the plastic cover snapped. We have a scheduled appointment today with the dealer to have it again replaced. They said it's our responsibility to pay even though the first time we were eventually reimbursed. This is a defective part; no seat belt should break again in two years! Another recall needs to be activated.

The drivers side seat belt has detached from the anchor on the seat. The cable has pulled out of the crimp on the belt portion of the seat belt / shoulder harness assembly. I have not contacted the dealer about this issue. There was a recall for "certain" Silverado about this condition but my vehicle is not showing up on the GM website as being inlcuded.

So on a cold start, my pickup was running extremely ruff. I shut it off and restarted it. Mind you the engine light is on now it seems to run better. So I go to work and encounter the same problem at the end of the day. I have it hooked up to the diagnostics machine and get P050D code as well as one more code (don't remember that one). This is a malfunction with the fuel injectors and the fuel supply. To much or to little can happen when ever. My mechanic tells me GM has a special service bulletins on this very problem. (N182198000). This is only for 13 states and certain VIN#s. So I call the dealership and they tell me that some 350,000 vehicles have been recalled. They gave them 10 years or 150,000 miles. Now everyone else that encounters the same safety issues to bad sorry for your luck, not their problem is what I was told. This is for 2016 and 2017 5.3 and 6.2 engines. To top if off when I talked with the GM representative for my area she advised me to report it here. Not to concerned about the product that they sold. Mind you not previous recalls where for seatbelts but only the front seats"?" I still believe they should of replaced the rear seatbelts. They don't retract as they should and I'm struggling to find my ones

My husband went to buckle his seatbelt and the thick metal coil within the plastic cover snapped. He was lucky it didn't happen in an accident. I immediately took it to the dealer, who took pictures and stated he needed to contact GM Customer Service to proceed. He said he's call me back later that day which he did not; I ended up calling the following morning and he proceeded to inform me a diagnostic procedure would have to be done to determine what happened. I asked if he had heard back from Customer Service and he said no. I called and talked with the service manager who said he would have to wait to hear from GM. Long story short, according to customer service, they'd only pay $70 towards the total cost since the car was not under warranty. I said a 5 year old seatbelt should not snap and they should be responsible for paying the entire $500 tab. They would not do so.

Seat belt buckle broke after two years. What occurred: Tried to buckle the belt and it did not work. Happened without warning. Inner plastic piece broke. It was repaired under warranty but only after insisting this should be a warranty repair. Noted concern that a safety part happened to become defective after such a short period of time (2 years).
