We bought our first Chevy ,a 2016 Silverado back in November. We noticed a slight shake in it, which the sales manager said it was just flat spots on the tires from sitting along time. and if it didnt go away after a day or so of driving to bring it back and theyll take care of it.... ok, so its now March, and we've taken it back 5 times now, theyve changed the tires and rebalanced ,and the shake is still there, yet they say theres nothing wrong with it, that it meets "mfg specs" ... I guess their specs are set really low, because this is horrible to be considered within specs for a brand new $50K truck. I did run across this article about the 14-16 Chevys having a 'shake' that GM seems to be oblivious of, and pretends it doesnt exist. ... so far, no fix..and looks like we're just stuck with a new vibrating truck!

The truck vibrates like crazy between 60-80 MPH. You can see the center console shaking and feel it in your back but you cannot feel it in the steering wheel. This half makes me wonder if the cab mounts are too soft and the wind is causing the cab to ripple like a flag on the frame. I have had a few different trucks, this is not your typical it drives like a truck shake.

This is identical to the description of the problems on some of the 2015 trucks. I’m planning to take it in to be looked at next week.

This started happening on day 1 on the drive home. I thought it was just me but we went on a longer trip this past weekend on the highway and it happened the entire trip. It seems to happen more when the cruise control is set. It does not seem to happen when accelerating.

I’m assuming it’s a tire balance issue. But, reading some of the posts on the 2015 truck it there may be more to it than a tire balance issue.

Update from Oct 18, 2016: The truck now has 700 miles on it. I gave it some time to see if it were a flat spot on the tires form sitting on the lot. I took the truck to a local GM dealer last week. They did a road force balancing. They said their instructions form GM were to not look at the problem again until the truck has 3,000 miles. The road force balancing seemed to help some but, not really. The local GM dealer said that I could go back to the dealer I purchased the truck form and they may be able to do more for me. The dealer I purchased the vehicle form is over an hour away, so I’m trying to set up a time to make it over there now. We will see what happens.
