2019 Silverado 1500 Z71. Brake noise - a 'grinding' sound that first noticed within 1 month of ownership. Within first 10 to 50 feet traveled, the truck makes a noise which sounds like brakes are 'dragging' or like the vehicle may be pulling with parking brake still engaged. The vehicle was returned to dealership within 6 weeks of purchase regarding this issue with no resolution to the problem. (Mechanics said they were unable to get the vehicle to duplicate the noise I described.)
The grinding noise persists, now occurring more frequently and even after being driven over one mile, despite the vehicle having been taken to the dealership numerous times to address this grinding noise issue. Upon the vehicle's last return to the dealership on 12/27/19, the mechanic inquired if the vehicle is 'garage kept', as the size of the brake drum is so large that they have a tendency to rust, and my only recourse is to purchase and install off-market brake pads to resolve the issue. Unsatisfactorily suggested a method of resolution for an issue I made them aware of almost immediately after purchase.
