My transmission is always shifting hard and shuddering intermittently and is going in for inspection. Shifting hard could cause a problem for the driver it is very distracting. Yes, independent service center. No. No warning lamps came up and it has been going on just under a year now
*What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request"- drive transmission while driving at a low speed 25mph or less I stopped at a stop sign and preceded to go while accelerating the truck started to go and immediately stopped moving forward with a high rev on the RPMs I checked to see if maybe the truck died but it was still in drive I put my hazard lights on and shut the truck off thinking for some reason it shut off when starting again immediately did a high rev when trying to accelerate with the gas pedal now this happened for about 10min I a high traffic area I proceeded to push the truck out of the way with the help of some kind strangers, I waited about 20min till starting the truck again and regained drive i went back and forth momentarily only to have the same thing happen again. I had to leave my vehicle in my work parking lot and have my wife drive 1 1/2hr away to pick me up. was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? - I had no indication on my dash of any check engine lights luckily I was only going a slow speed and was at a stop sign when the incident happened I obscured a heavily traffic area and I had to push the vehicle to a safe position. the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? - I have yet to get this to a dealer, I currently had towed to my home. the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? - No *Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear" - No warning lamps This vehicle has 80,000 plus miles is used as a family/every other daily driver I have not hauled anything but a vintage trailer that's well within its towing capability I have no warning lamps to even indicate a problem is occurring at this time.
Several Thousand of these vehicles are experiencing engine/ lifter and transmission failure which can cause accidents and death. There was a class action lawsuit filed against GM and it needs to be offered to all owners of these affected vehicles.
First drive of the morning, it jerks when shifting from first to second, took it to the dealer and they said that it-??s normal, I know it-??s not normal because it doesn-??t happen all the time and tou can feel it bad when it does
Since Purchasing the vehicle, I have taken it to the dealership due to the transmission feels like it is slipping or buckling and not wanting to shift each time they told me there is no issue with the vehicle. This vehicle was purchased in 2019 and has a little over 22 k miles.
Front axel seperated from vehical causing crash. Left front wheel assembly from cv joint. Defect in airbags, excess exhaust sprayed over top of hands on steering wheel at 9 oclock and 3 oclock pisition. Caused 3rd degree burns with perminate scarring and disfiurement. Chevy had ignored all issues while driving I could feel the truck dropa nd get pulled to left, with no control, they insult and ignor a fact. I have grave concerns for future fatalities. So noted
2019 Chevy Silverado 1500 front left axel seperated from vehicle on freeway causing abrupt jerk to left casing truck to crash, front wheel assyemby sepperated from truck
Transmission is slipping and can-??t drive too dangerous. This is a VERY expensive repair for such a new type model. I have read several complaints about this model having transmission problems. I currently have 130000 miles on speedometer so the warranty is no longer good. RIDICULOUS so many 2019 models are having this issue and GM is not correcting the problem. Have owned several GM vehicles. This will be my LAST!!! [XXX] INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).
Car is having issue since day one I bought it in 2019. Transmission is making a weird noise when shifting. It shakes when car is accelerating and in low RPM around 1.2 to 1.5 especially if car is driven with the load or up the hill. Car is making this stumping noise when car is decelerating like when attempting to stop on traffic light or stop sign, like the engine is going to go out so loud. At the dealership they told me if it-??s not doing it constantly it-??s normal. I will take it to the dealership this week again, it is really behaving bad lately. Car does have 53 thousand miles on it.
While operating my vehicle at normal capacity the engine lost power and jolted very hard and the vehicle began shaking. I heard knocking noises coming from within the engine. The truck only has 68k highway miles on it with regular maintenance done by the dealer. My 2010 version of this truck lasted longer than this one. Gm is telling me I need a $7800 dollar repair that I am on the arm for. There was nothing out of the ordinary that could have caused this. I am aware of others having the same problem. It would not be safe if I was traveling faster.
When shifting to park and shut truck off a shift to park warning comes on dash and you can shut engine off or lock door if you try the horn starts honking. I took it to dealer they had it for 2 days said it showed no costs nor could they get it to happen so they say. It dose it almost every time you shut it off. They sent me home and the problem is the same.
Lifter went bad with no warning. Caused engine damage and need costly repairs. Truck only has 68,000 miles on it. Has had all service with manufacturers recommended synthetic oil. Truck has been babied and has hardly pulled any trailers at all. Never been off road. Very disappointed.
I have had to replace the transmission at 80k miles.the vehicle was shuddering so bad. Slipping gears and shifting very aggressively. The transmission is an 8 speed 8l90. This is unacceptable for gm to get away with this. Please do something I don-??t want this to happen again. This same exact problem is happening to so many people!
