I have owned 4 GMC pickups and have complained 2 times about spare tires mounted under rear frame that have come off on the highway with out knowing where from 1996-2004, I now have one that I cant get off and the dealer said they will cut it off at my cost yet you are charging Toyota with the same fault and recall what about the people that own GM and Ford products! why are we left in the cold. You need to due the same for the people that have bought american made, what cars my tires have hit who knows !
The spare tire was not the same size of the tires mounted on the vehicle. The consumer stated that Chevrolet does not make nor provide 17 inch spare tires for his vehicle. The 2005 vehicles now have 17 inch spare tires. The consumer asked if it is safe to make an 8000 mile journey pulling a 6000 pound trailer with two different size tires on his vehicle.
