The contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. In March of 2007, the rear passenger side tire valve stem failed without warning. On March 28, 2009, both the front and rear driver's side valve stems failed like the one in 2007. The contact was informed by the tire company that the valve stems were cracking, but could not provide an explanation for the failures. The contact feels that the valve stems are faulty and defective and should be replaced by the manufacturer. The current and failure mileages were 8,500.
: the contact stated while turning into the driveway, a popping noise was heard and the inside rear passenger tire was flat. The vehicle was driven to an independent repair shop who determined the valve stems on the tires were faulty and needed to be replaced. The tire size was LT2158516, manufactured by general tire & rubber co.
