During winter months, driver's side seat heater randomly activates and can not be shut off with button. Switches have been replaced no change. I have read multiple postings online regarding this matter and no resolution by dealers found.

2007 Chevy Silverado 2500. Consumer states mechanical problems the consumer stated there was dry rot on the inside and outside of the doors, and under the truck bed. The check engine light illuminated six times due to the same continued problem. The front end was worked on three times, the seat had bad springs and were loud.

I am a fire investigator working for an insurance company. I recently investigated a fire loss involving a 2007 Chevy Silverado classic which originated beneath the bench seat and involved the electrical wiring, which is attached to the driver side of the seat. Fortunately the 85 year old owner of the vehicle was not in the truck at the time of the fire.
