I have been experiencing a loss of power on several occasions. The vehicle will start fine for months, then go thru a spell of will crank one moment, then not the next. The times this has happened it sounded like the CD changer was stuck trying to change CDs. I do not use the CD changer ever, but it made weird noises and seemed to not stop until the battery was disconnected. I have replaced the batteries 3 times, and the alternator 1 time. It seems to fix the issue, but then re-appears months later.
I started experiencing this issue after the dealer disconnected my windshield washer heater module. The dealer assured me this had no bearing on the particular problem. If there were electrical issues with that portion of the electrical system, what else could be a problem. I truly enjoy the vehicle, but this issue always strikes at the worst times.... I ensure all my vehicles are managed to a strict service maintenance interval. If anyone finds a solution I am all ears....
