It seems that GM is not really interested in keeping its loyal customers . They knew they had a problem with the DEF system, and all they,ve done to correct it is to add some limited warranties that leave their customers high & dry after they,ve driven beyond the limit. Not everybody can afford to go out & buy a new diesel every 5 or so years.Diesels in highway transports go well beyond 200000 Kim's with just routine maintenance, so why is it these smaller diesel trucks seem to have a reliability of only 5 years? I am not the original purchaser of this truck. He could obviously afford to shell out $70,000+ for a new one. I cannot. I am retired. I was counting on this truck to reliably serve me until I cannot or do not wish to tow my fifth wheel around.Last month it was another glow plug failure, and today it was the indirect fuel injector. I just wonder wether the next time something goes wrong and there is no more special warranty. Will I be able to afford the repairs???
