Trailer brakes are turned off by the truck. A message on the dashboard says check trailer wiring, trailer brakes disconnected. Completed all steps recommended by the community, and still having dangerous loss of brakes.
1. Had the 7 Pin and trailer wiring replaced.
2. Used Dielectric Grease.
3 Pulled the trailer battery fuse from under the hood, which disabled the blind spot monitoring! Truth.
4. Used a diode on the trailer.
None of these suggestions worked, this dangerous issue persists. Trailer put on a Ford or RAM has ZERO issues. Chevy service department says this truck has all the updates and updated trailer brake controller.
Same issues and tests performed on 2024, none resolved for 2025.
