Instrument panel lights burned out. The left rear door handle broke. The windshield wiper and washer came on and could not be turned off. The headlights failed. The rear hatch pull strap broke. No longer owns vehicle.

Consumer started vehicle and shifted to reverse and suddenly smoke came from under the hood, consumer could not get out of vehicle since doors locked upon starting vehicle. She was able to get out through rear passenger door that had not been shut properly. Dealer determined that battery cables shorted out, and shut down electrical system. Dealer was exchanging vehicle.
