CarComplaints.com Notes: The Trailblazer emerged from an "upscale trim line" of the Blazer, but there's nothing upscale about its transmission problems or its wonky, unpredictable headlights.

2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer; vehicle was idling when I noticed a stream of fluid coming from underneath, near the middle. Found it to be gasoline coming from the front end area of the gasoline tank. Rate of leakage was about 1/4 gallon per minute. Leakage stopped when vehicle was turned off. Took to dealer - replaced leaking fuel sending unit.

Trailblazer 4WD 6-cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 62,509 miles
I own a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer. When my vehicle had 62,509 mileage I parked the vehicle at a friend's house. The vehicle leaked a large puddle of fuel on his newly sealed driveway. When I took it in to service the fuel level sender was replaced because the inlet and/or outlet tubes on top of the fuel sender were corroded and leaking fuel. This was a premature failure since the design should have been validated to 100,000 miles +.
