CarComplaints.com Notes: The Trailblazer emerged from an "upscale trim line" of the Blazer, but there's nothing upscale about its transmission problems or its wonky, unpredictable headlights.

The contact owns a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer. While the vehicle was being serviced at a local repair shop, the contact was informed that the front lower control arm was loose. The contact referenced recall 01V126000 (suspension: Front: Control arm: Lower arm) but was informed by the manufacturer that the vehicle was not included. The vehicle had not been repaired. The current and failure mileages were 62,000.

I have a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer 4WD. The clutch fan is bad. From what the auto parts service center advised me, all clutch fans on the 2002 Trailblazers should be recalled. The vehicle runs high RPM's when first starting. This is a safety hazards that the gov. Should address with Chevy. Don't wait until someone loses a life, then act on this complaint. You would think after the Firestone tire incident you people would work on the side of the consumer, after all, we do pay for your Agency to operate. Why is it the consumer always has to pay for big business when they are the ones who are a fault. When building any product, if it fails. Then the gov. Should enforce a recall. Whether it be one or 20 complaints. The consumer has the right to be protected when purchasing any product. When a complaint is made. The you the gov. Agency should act and make a recall. Before someone gets hurt. It" that simple.

2002 Trailblazer ls begins to shake at speeds over 60 mph. The tires have been changed and has not fixed the problem. This problem is not uncommon in this model. It is a possible loss of control hazard. Along with this there is a squeaking noise when proceeding over rough terrain (ex. Speed bumps, etc.) may be related.

Dont know where to start. Squeaking noise when going over bumps (sounds like it is coming from suspension). Metal grinding noise in brakes, ticking noise from engine, seat belt and airbag lights have come on for no reason, rear latch has come open while driving, tail lights and brake lights burning out freqently, transmission was slipping on take off, no cause found in the several times it has been taken in for this. Now my transmission is out. Just happened yesturday. Don't feel like I can blame the dealership after reading all the complaints. I think the fault lies on the shoulders of GM.

The brake lights have burned out in the last 3 mos. 3 different times. The passenger side brake light seems to go out every month. I was complaining about the passenger seat belt locking up but thought I was just doing it wrong. After reading other complaints I noticed that it is a common occurrence. I have had the trail Blazer in the shop for the noise under the front when you hit a bump. They can't seem to find the cause of the noise. The back gate would pop open just driving down the road. Dealer adjusted the latching hook. Has not done it since. Now after doing some research I have found that there are 8 recalls on this vehicle and I have just received 2 notices. This is a bit unnerving.

I have a 2002 Chevy. Trail Blazer ltz model # [xxx] this vehicle sits so much lower in the front than the back. The rear view mirror is so low it obscures the line of sight to the right front area while driving. My wife and I have had three (3) near misses with cars in intersections and almost ran over a child on a bicycle coming from the right. This is a design destined to create an accident! information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

Something loose and banging in the front end when you hit bump. I have had vehicle to two Chevrolet dealers and they say they can hear it, should not do that, but they cannot find the problem. I have only 2000 miles left on my warranty, then what?.how many Chevrolet dealers, mr goodwrench guys does it take to fix this vehicle under warranty. After warranty I'll bet they find the problem.
