My 2004 Chevy Trailblazer Ext oil pressure began to drop drastically when idling. The oil pressure would go from a normal level to almost zero and the vehicle would almost stall out. At first it only happened every now and then, but became more frequent. I read online and found out that a clogged oil pressure switch could be the problem so I replaced the oil pressure switch and never had a drop in oil pressure ever again.
