Vehicle has lost all power on 2 separate occasions within 2 years. The first event was on a highway at 75 mph in 2018 and the second time at a busy intersection where the speed is 45mph in 2020. Once power is lost, brakes and steering do not work. Each time the vehicle was towed to a repair shop for repairs which included replacing the fuse box and providing better bolts to hold it securely in place.

For that last 9 months my check engine light has been coming on and off repeatedly. At times, it flashes really fast before my engine starts making a rumbling noise. It has been taken to the Chevy service department 4 times with them doing the following: Replaced spark plugs, fuel induction service, new sensor box and new water pump. The problem still has not been fixed. It is currently at another Chevy service department about 15 miles from me. They have had it for 3 days now and still no word as to what is wrong with it. When the check engine light comes it's when the vehicle is started and it stays all while been driven. When the light flashes and the vehicle makes the rumbling noise it is while being driven and stationary. The rumbling noise will stop once I pull over and turn off the vehicle. But the light comes back on.

Driving on the expressway and the following happened; reduced engine power, service stabiltrack, service traction control warning lights came on while driving at approximately 70mph. The vehicle almost came to a dead stop with traffic behind me along and with opposing traffic. I engaged the vehicle in neutral and coasted to the shoulder with my hazards on. I tried to remain calm with my family in the car since it was almost life or death, I searched the web for an answer and I found that if I turn the car off for a few minutes it would go away, I did that and the issue went away for the time being but it has also reoccurred numerous times since then.

Was at a traffic light near my job when my car suddenly shuts off, never happened before so as I try to restart it wouldn't start at all. I caused a lot of traffic due to this. Living in nyc that's a big no no. As I looked on the dash while keep trying to get it to start different light started to come on the car was going out of wack. Finally a food cart guy seen me and helped me out by jumping my car with his food cart battery talk about embrassing Chevrolet needs to deal with this problem, never knew it was a common issue until I google and this problem happen to many people but yet there's no recalls. I am very disappointed and makes me want to give this car back

My 2014 Chevy Traverse has been having this issue for months now. I will be driving and my service stabilitrak, traction control off, check engine light will light up, and engine power reduced will pop up. I can not go over 20 mph. At times the engine will become very stally, jerky, my steering wheel and brakes will be very hard to use. These are very random and non patterned I will have to safely pull over rather it be on a back road or a highway wherever it happens turn the engine off for 5-20 minutes and it will eventually clear everything but the check engine light; which will clear within that day or the next until the next time it happens. It has also cause my key to lock up in the ignition. This is very unsafe and scary. This is my family car and will eventually cause an accident and hurt myself, my kids, or someone else. If you google the issue there are tons of forums, websites, blogs that have the same issue with this car. I have spent numerous hours investigating the issue, lots of money replacing parts as recommended or by the check engine light and it continues to do this. GM is going to have a lawsuit on their hands when someone gets seriously hurt over this issue because they are not doing anything about it.

2014 Traverse will suddenly shut down and not move. Flashes service stabilitrac, traction control off, reduced engine power. My vehicle has shut down multiple times including driving on the freeway with my two children in the car. After turning the car off and finally being able to turn it back on again, I am able to get the traction control to say on and to move my car. This last time the steering wheel locked up and my car wouldn't start for almost 10 minutes, with me and my children sitting in the middle of an intersection.

The stabilitrak service warning flashes. When this happens, it reduces the power of the engine causing the vehicle to shut down. This only happens when the car is in motion and now it won't start at all.

Multiple times the car has just lost power. The dash goes crazy with lights and warnings. Chevy tells me there is nothing they can do because there isn't a code and they can't replicate the problem. Twice I have been driving and this has happened and once when I pulled into a parking spot. Now it does shift really. It revs the rpms, jerks, sputters, and puts while trying to turn or accelerate. Its so scary because its the only vehicle we have to fit us and our newborn. I hate Chevy refuses to acknowledge an issue

The engine in my 2014 Chevrolet Traverse died. I had only had 53K miles on the engine. This averages to around 10K miles per year, which is below average use. I maintained the car according to the car operating manual with proper maintenance and full synthetic oil changes per schedule all at the Chevrolet dealership. Leading up to my engine dying, the engine started to make some clinking noise, but no lights came one. When the dashboard panel stated to change the oil, I went within days to a local mechanic for a full synthetic oil change. No low oil or engine lights ever came on. According to the operating manual, I have 600 miles to change oil once the "change oil" message appears. I probably drove 60 miles. After the mechanic changed the oil to full synthetic, as required, the engine died/locked. At no point, did the car drive or engine start with no oil. I have video proof from the mechanic of a correct oil change. I still have a certified preowned limited powertrain warranty, which covers the engine. The dealership is refusing to honor my warranty. The dealership blames the mechanic for running the engine with no oil. I have video proof to the contrary, and the engine never indicated low oil, as the car monitors for this. I contacted GM 5 weeks ago, and they also refuse to honor my warranty.

I was driving this vehicle and instantly all power was cut off. When I came to a stop I put the vehicle in park and tried to start only to have failed to start quite a few times. After a minute of sitting, the car started again. The car stalled a few more times after on the way home. The dash said stabilitrak needs to be serviced and the engine power was reduced. This could really cause an accident! this problem seem to happen when I was slowing down or coming to a stop.

1st time vehicle on highway. Lost engine power...engine light and stability light came on. Cycled through error codes reduced engine power, service stability track, traction control off. Code P16820. 2nd time it happened at a stop light. Car will not go more than 10 miles an hour. Engine runs choppy like it's going to stall. After car was shut off overnight, it reset and ran normal except engine light stays on. Dealer can't find any issue. Can't recreate. See on youtube that this has happened to many others. There should be a recall!!! dangerous especially for a family car. People buy Traverse's when they have children!!!! please recall!!!

Driving the kids to school and the vehicle just cut off on the interstate and the traction control turned off. I was able to catch the exit and make it to the side. It would not start. It finally started and I was able to go two miles where it cut off again, holding up morning school and work traffic on the two lane road. There was no shoulder to pull off to. I just read where there was an issue with a short in the electrical system that causes the car to just shut off. I put my VIN number in the recall database to see what to do and it tells me my car is not on the recall list. This is dangerous and I fear for my family knowing these types of issues exist.

1st the A/C would flash and quit working, 2nd the check engine light came on, 3rd the temperature gauge quit work, 4th the engine fan keeps running after taking the key out. 5th sometime the radio controls will not work. And and the outside mirrors will quit working both in motion and not. I took into the dealership and replaced the ECM connector and it immediately did the same thing.

The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Traverse. While driving approximately 20 mph, the vehicle suddenly jerked and stalled. The contact turned off and restarted the vehicle, and pulled over to the side of the road. When the vehicle was restarted, the contact heard a revving sound coming from the vehicle and it began to shake. The contact stated that the engine power reduced and traction control warning indicators illuminated. After pulling over to the side of the road, the contact turned the vehicle back off and waited a few minutes before they were able to turn the vehicle back on with no warning indicators illuminated. The failure occurred a total of four times. During the fourth failure, the service stabilitrak indicator illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic, but they could not diagnose the vehicle. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failures and informed the contact that the vehicle was not included in any recalls. The manufacturer provided a case number. The approximate failure mileage was 81,000.

While driving my Traverse it stalled going 50 mph. After restarting the vehicle the engine was at low power and would only go 20 miles per hour. The dash read low engine power, stabilitrak and traction control issues. Drove the vehicle at 20 mph in a 55 mph zone for about 5 miles with the flashers on. Took the vehicle to todd wenzel in davison Michigan. Upon restarting to go to the dealership the vehicle drove as normal with the engine light on. The dealership coded it.( see attached) we did do the work the dealership recommended. This was the fourth time we have had similar issues. The past three times just the engine light came on with no stalling or speed issues and the code was ignition switch fuse. We had the fuse replaced each time. All within 8-9 months. Engine issues came up as possible recall but not with my VIN #.
