The contact was informed that the high-pressure fuel pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 68,000.

Additionally, the message "Shift into Neutral, and Start Vehicle" was displayed on the instrument panel. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 140,000.

The contact stated the vehicle failed to exceed 15 MPH. The contact depressed the accelerator pedal and the engine failed to rev as designed. The contact stated that the check engine, parking brake and stabili-trak warning lights were illuminated. The contact was able to drive the vehicle to an independent mechanic who diagnosed the failure as insufficient fuel entering the engine from the fuel pump. The mechanic determined that the fuel pump needed to be replaced. The contact was advised by the mechanic that the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V639000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) and referred the contact to a dealer. The contact called a local dealer and was informed that the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.
