This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
I have had to jump start my 2005 Chevrolet Uplander several times. The car has been taken to the dealership three times (today 2-21-2008 being the third). The battery was replaced once, the radio was replaced the second time. I have not received a diagnoses to the problem today, but the vehicle would not start even with a jump from a tow truck. The only item installed after market on this vehicle was a sit and lift seat, installed by the dealership at a cost of $5000. The seat has performed without failure, other than a few times it would not operate unless the side sliding door on the opposite side of the vehicle was opened or closed, depending on it status at the time of the failure.
