The contact owns a 2005 Chevrolet Uplander. While driving between 35-65 mph, the front driver side windshield would whistle. On the first occasion, new glue was applied around the windshield. On the following occasions, the contact was informed that the failure could not be duplicated. On March 12, 2008, while going through a car wash, water began pouring into the rear tailgate window. The dealer has not yet been notified. The current and failure mileages were 53,280. Updated 3/25/08 the consumer stated the windshield noise is due to the body style of the vehicle but the rear window was a cracked brake light and not the window. Updated 03/25/08

I purchased my vehicle in January of 2005 and in the first 2 months had windshield chips from normal driving. I have owned many Chevrolet over the years and not one chip. Now I have another one which makes three in 15 months. The dealer will do nothing about it. We had the first two treated independently because of lack of action. My husband and I think this is an unreasonable amount of chips for a front windshield. I witnessed the first and last with the size of the pebble maybe being a quarter centimeter. My husband works for a glass manufacturer and his superiors tell him that this is unreasonable as well and suggest we contact an attorney if there is no action taken. We have always bought from the same dealer and always Chevrolet. In fact we bought a 2005 Colorado the week before we purchase this Uplander, so loyalty will be an issue if this is not handled. Thank you for listening.
