Turned on the heater full blast and would get nice and warm while driving but it would blow nothing but cold air while idling. What the heck?!

We noticed that the Uplander did not put out any heat when idleing. Brought it to my mechanic who fixed the brakes. He flushed the heater cores and put on a new thermostat. A week later it was not putting out heat again when idleing. Took it back to my mechanic. After he checked it out he said suggested I take it back to the dealership where we bought it because he thought the head gaskets were gone which was causing air to get into the coolant thus causing a pocket that caused the no heat issue. The dealership looked at it and agreed that the head gaskets were the problem. There was still drivetrain warranty on it so they agreed to replace the gaskets costing us nothing. A few days later I picked the van up and noticed that it was making a stranged noise when getting up to sixty and above. I was not sure if this was a new noise or not ( my wife drives it ) so when I got home I told my wife to tell me what she though the next time she drove it. The next day my wife called me at work to tell me that there was a noise there and something was not right. Brought it back to the dealership where they figured out that that two of the bolts on the rear of the head had broken and informed us that they would fix under warranty. Two day later I called to see how the repair was coming and was told that the head was fixed but now we had a transmission/torque convertor problem. They still had not figured out what was wrong exactly and to give them another day. I called back today and was told that the van would need a new transmission and radiator because coolant had leaked into the transmission. I was told that it would all be coved under warranty and would not be ready for a few days. I am afraid to think about what could be next and what the cost will be when the warranty expries in 15000 kilmetoers. After all this my next velhicle will certianly not be a GM and no way will I be getting repairs done ta a GM dealer.

Just pissed. Let the damn thing warm up for 10 min and nothing. Cold as ice. Windows all icy and fogged up. As soon as I start driving after scraping I get a blast of heat. No clue why.
