Again, what the hell is going on at Chrysler. When I was growing up, their transmissions were considered the best on the market, they never failed even when abused. This is the second Chrysler product I bought that had a transmission problem The first was a 1995 Dodge Ram pickup, the tranny went at around 95,000 miles. When I took it to the dealer, the mechanic said that I was lucky, most of them went around 35,000 miles. I had it for sale after the dealer rebuilt the tranny for $1600.00 bucks and a few guys from south of the border was looking at it and said "Too bad, these trucks all had bad transmissions". I guess they should know because the truck was assembled in Mexico.
I was hesitant to buy a car with the new 6 speed tranny, and I was right. Looks like I am one of the millions used as a guinea pig to test the new trannys on.
Chrysler should be sued, after spending $20,000 on a car, no one should have to pay another $1000 bucks to keep it running. Now I see why Chrysler only warrants their cars for 5 years or 36,000 miles, that is about all they are good for.
