squeaks and does not bounce when you hit a bump right it just is not right i don't know whats wrong

I feel as if the car is going to fall apart when I drive it. It rattles and bumps along the road. Considering the other problems it has (coolant leak), the mechanic recommends not venturing too far from home; for example, I asked if OK to drive to Connecticut from Massachusetts and he responded, "I wouldn't do that. You can rent a car if you want to go there." What a piece of junk!
