I have been getting an ABS light on my 2006 Pacifica. When it is on the brakes shake and grab. When the ABS light is off they are fine. I have been researching the problem and have found dozens of others that are having the same problem with their ABS fort Pacificas. Many are having speed sensors replaced without fixing the problem others are being told that they need brakes and other electronic components. I think Chrysler is ignoring the problem and that brakes that are intermittent is a serious problem.

ABS light appears intermittently. Mechanic finds no problem. Now takes greater distance to stop vehicle. Experienced complete brake failure 5/2/2011. I am afraid to drive this vehicle. I do not know if it will actually stop when I apply the brake.

My ABS light keeps coming on in my 2006 Chrysler Pacifica. I drive my car every day to take my children to daycare and then to work. While driving my car, my brakes will start grinding and then the brakes will fail. I have luckily not been in any accidents, but have ran stop signs and stop lights due to not being able to stop. I have come inches from hitting other cars. This occurs every time that I drive the car. It will start to happen within the first four to five miles and I drive roughly 20 miles a day just to work. I have taken my car into les schwab and they say my brakes and pads are fine. They flushed the brakes and re-bled them to see if that would do anything, but it has not. I have searched on line and found hundreds of owners for the 2006 Pacifica stating the same problems, and any time they fix a sensor which is what the reader code is coming up, the same thing happens and says it's the sensor again. It really concerns me that there has not been a recall on this vehicle yet. What does it take" someone to die before this vehicle is recalled? every day I have to wonder if my children and I will be seriously injured or killed because of this problem. I don't make a lot of money, have 3 children to support and cannot afford to by another car. I have no choice but to drive this vehicle to get to work. I am pleading to please, please, please, take this problem seriously and to save the lives of these many owners and families of the 2006 Pacifica. What if you and you're family owned this vehicle" think of how scary it is to lose your brakes. Thank you! I put the "incident date" as the day this started happening.

ABS system will engage for no reason at low speed and light braking. ABS warning system light will come on without a reason. ABS sensors replace approximately 4 times. Have replaced a sensor and the ABS light came back on within two miles of dealership. Various dealers can't seem to correct problem, car no longer under warranty, Chrysler offered to do a complete electrical diagnosis at my expense and depending on what they find they might correct the problem. Problem seems to related to outside temperature, light will come on, on a warm day, off in morning and off all winter.
