This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
Vehicle will not give power on take off and will not give power at 45-55 mph. This has caused many issues where accidents could have been caused. Took to multiple dealerships and they both said it was the way the 9-speed automatic behaved. A vehicle should not behave in a way that is a safety concern. They could not fix the issue because it is the vehicle itself.
This vehicle is a handicap conversion van modified by revability / vmi in the modification - revability has replaced the factory fuel tank with one of their own design and construction. In doing so - they use the Chrysler factory components such as the fuel pump, fuel gauge sender unit, emissions connections, etc. However - the fuel gauge has never worked properly since I purchased the van and it gives misleading information about the fuel level. It registers only 3/4 full on the dash when in fact the tank is full. If you try to add any more fuel (as I found out when I first purchased the van) - it affects the emissions controls severely and makes the van un-drivable; in fact the engine will stall unexpectedly in traffic which is a severe hazard. Further - the low tank level is unpredictable so you are never sure when to refill, if the fuel gets too low then the engine can also stop in traffic. The company is well aware of this problem but cannot fix it. I have had it to the original selling dealership (jay hatfield mobility in lee's summit Missouri) several times as revability said the repairs were covered under their manufactures warranty. The dealership has been unable to fix the problem and has since not renewed their contract with revability. So the problem still exists and the powertrain 'check engine' light comes on periodically - which jay hatfield mobility said they had nothing to do with and would not do any further repairs. My wife is handicapped and in daily rehab treatment - so I need this van every day and need it fixed properly - however the van conversion manufacturer has no instructions or information that they can supply for a correct repair. I believe that revability / vmi should be responsible for fixing this problem properly or replacing this van as it is / can be a safety hazard to operate without a properly functioning fuel gauge.
The power steering would go out, a notice would come up stating " power steering unavailable", then the power steering would work for about 60 seconds and go out again and then repeat the problem. This just starting happening on 4/10/21. We had just gotten into the van and started driving, we went about 1/2 mile, it happened a total of 4 times. We turned around and brought the vehicle back home and it happened 2 more times
Issue with horn, lights, coolent, engine gaskets, park brakes sticking, turning signal, , electrical al connected some how but 4 Chrysler dealers and they can't duplicate it even with pics and video I've shown.paying for car I can't use. Any other similar issues or am I the only one driving the ghost car.
My van has 54,000 miles it's not very old and the transmission is skipping (up shifting, down shifting, and highway driving) I keep taking it to the dealer ship they keep running updates on it and it's still skipping. The van has a very rough idle (keeps feeling like it's going to turn off while it's in park) something is wrong with it and the deal ship thinks it's okay. Well it's not. The front hood has bubbles in the paint and it's still a new vehicle how am I to think I will be owning this van for atleast 10 more years and it's becoming rusted already.

Although the problem is not there with every acceleration, the van seems to be tugging, then jumping/pushing forward, and then resuming acceleration. This usually happens after being stopped and accelerating to go at around 20mphs. I have also had this happen when turning and merging on to traffic around town which has caused oncoming cars to have to decelerate due to my acceleration delay. I've had the car checked out by the dealership and have been told that they are unable to replicate the problem, yet I'm driving around town worried that I will get in a wreck because of the random failure to accelerate smoothly. What's even more concerning is that there are thousands of complaints like mine online, yet dealerships are unable to replicate the issue (one example: Https://M.carcomplaints.com/Chrysler/Pacifica/2017/drivetrain/power_train.shtml). Not sure what else to do.
30,390while cruising on interstate, (2/6/21, 3:17 pm, drizzling, 55 degrees F, at 70 mph in cruise control) instrument panel goes black, engine shuts off, power steering goes off, rt passenger window descends all the way, wipers go off, cruise goes off, gear indicator switches (on it's own from drive to neutral, to park. Coasting to side left of side of the (under construction) shoulder (rt shoulder is blocked by jersey barriers) instrument cluster comes back on. I shift from park to neutral, to drive, with no effect on drivability. I stopped off the roadway and shut off the ignition. Instrument cluster has battery and fcw warning lights on. There is a distinct smell of an electrical fire. I check under the hood to look for obvious fire sources. None are apparent. I checked the battery connection. This appears as normal for this vehicle, not tight ' but not loose either. I checked the fuse box. I did not have a fuse indicator tool with me and did not attempt to pull fuses. Seeing no obvious fire sources I shut the hood. Five minutes after stopping I tried the ignition again and the car started. The rt passenger window was to 3' short of closed, then it stopped. I pulled back on the highway and resumed the trip. The fcw warning light was still on. Cruise control was unavailable. The driver's side mirror warning indicator was on. On 2/7/21 I checked the car. All power devices on the rt front door were not active. I checked the fuses and determined that at least one had failed (F47). I attempted to replace the fuse. In doing so the rt passenger window immediately returned to the fully closed position, the fuse blew as I put it in, the smell of burning electrical wire was apparent inside the cab, but not under the hood.
Van jumped and bucked while driving in a publix shopping center parking lot my head went back and forth with a lot of force definitely not normal.the van was in motion driving slower threw lot.

Two issues. First, when accelerating, sometimes the transmission disengages for about 1-2 seconds and then reengages and causes a sudden jerk motion forward. Happens 3-4 times a month. This will happen on both city streets and highways. This has started over 3 years ago. Second, the engine will stall/shut off at random times on city streets. It occurs when going over a speed bump and also occurs when making a U-turn. It takes quickly shifting back to park, then pressing brake and start button to start back up. This has started happening within the last 3-6 months.
Had trouble starting car. Battery was checked and said to be good. Issue stopped. 2 months later car is completely dead when I go to crank one morning. No indicator lights ever came on. Husband charged battery and it crank but still was sluggish in doing so. Again battery was tested and except not fully charged it was ok. Voltage is now all over the place. Jumping between 10 and 14.7 constantly. If I come to a complete stop it goes dead. It is currently sitting in my driveway as we try to figure out what to do.
I have had my van for 4 times at the shop with electronics issues transmission shifts hard when I put my car on parking or try to turn on my van it will but act funny all the lights start on like engine light power ABS airbags don't want to go forward sometimes my car has 52,00 miles O pay every month my payments in time is going to be christmas soon I just will like my car to be fix so I can see my dad that is not doing to good please help I am frustrated tired I had call the dealer ship were I left my van for four times called and left a message one week ago never got a call back I have been waiting for a call nothing from them finish calling them today and finally someone answer I made and appointment today first they wanted to give me one for next year after I said that I had called and no one return my call they said we can check the van on the 21 so you can use a loaner vehicle I promise my dad I will be able to see them for christmas know with this issue and paying 900 dollars every month for the van I can't afford to buy or rent a car during this time I am tired frustrated and O don't know what else to do to resolve this issue please help. I just use the van to take my kids to school and go home do grocery and visit the family.
Drove top speed of 20 mph because I was on base. Came to stop at stop sign to turn onto Maryland ave to exit the base. Started to accelerate to turn left, mid turn, van shut off/died, error message of put car into park and then vehicle speed too high(something along those lines) flashed. Wouldn't turn back on for about 5 seconds. Note: 2 children as passengers at the time battery replaced Nov 2019-due to same problem/electrical issues transmission replaced Jan 2020 due to ongoing issue (warranty covered)
This is the second time this week and third time overall while sitting at a red light (the auto start/stop is turned off) my vehicle engine completely turned off. I got a message on the dash that said to put the vehicle in park to start the engine again. II lose all power steering, brakes are stiff and cannot do anything, it is completely off. L have been so fortunate each time it happened to have been stopped, as I had my kids in the car the second time and the light had changed green but I could not go.
While driving on a 50mph 4 lane road with my two children 3 & 5, I decelerated to make a left hand turn and within 3 seconds the car sputtered to a halt with all power cutting off. In a panic, I tried to get the car started again but it did not respond to the ignition. I got out of the car to get my kids out of the back seat and bring them to safety. I manually opened the rear driver side door and after doing so, the power came back on to the car. I quickly got back in and drove home without incident. We have since searched the VIN for recalls to find that for whatever reason, my VIN did not qualify for the recall involved in 2017 Chrysler Pacificas with this same exact problem occurring. I brought the car in for a diagnostic, and of course they could find nothing wrong nor "reproduce the problem", or give us any reassurance that this wouldn't happen again.
The Pacifica has a stalling problem when taking off. Then it jerks into gear really bad. This problem has been on going. Dealership supposedly had fixed the problem, when the vehicle was under warranty. It now is out of warranty and the problem is still there.
When accelerating at low speeds the van shifts hard into gear and will not continue to accelerate even though the gas pedal is pressed. If I do not let off the gas when this happens the van will lunge forward. This happens in all conditions and on all road types. I have taken it to the dealership and they said it's fine. I can not replicate this on demand.
As I was driving my vehicle on a busy road it started to stutter and shut down. I lost steering wheel function as well as gas pedal function. The control panel instructed me to place my car in park to be able to restart it.
