The problem went from being sporadic, unpredictable and brief, to predictable and continuous over a period of a few months. The solution to this problem (replacing the BCM) also helped solve 2 other major problems with the vehicle. I no longer own the vehicle, and yes, this contributed to my ditching this gas guzzler.
