Wife stated that she went to her car to leave from work and once she got close to the vehicle the horn began blaring non stop, wipers running, fluid spurting out, dash lights going on and off and door locks going up and down. I arrived and removed the battery cable and it stopped. I replaced the cable a short time later and was able to start the vehicle and I started driving it home and as I got up to about 30 mph it did it again and this time the car cut off and I lost steering and brakes but was able to come to a stop on the side of the busy street I was on. I removed the key from the ignition and got out of the vehicle at which point I noticed that the car had cut back on and was actually running without the key in the ignition. I drove it home without further incident. At 3 am the same night we were awakened by the vehicles horn blaring in the driveway. I went outside and it was doing the same thing that my wife originally stated but the car was actually running without a key being anywhere near it - we do not have the remote start installed on the vehicle. My wife and I refuse to drive it due to the fact that if the above problems happen at 70 mph we would probably be dead.

I have been waiting to be notified that the frequency operated button ignition key has come in. Today when I went to start the van it seems that it wants to start but hesitates I tried several times but it kept doing the same thing. I cleaned the air filter, checked the hoses and battery but found nothing wrong. When I called the dealer they said they would call me back. I then called the Chrysler recall 800 number and was informed that the part was still not available. I asked if there was a solution and the gentleman said it could be from 1-3 months before the part was available. This is my only means of transportation and he stated if I changed the ignition module I would not be reimbursed, I have already replaced the fuel pump in the tank at 50,000 miles the sway bar on the right was replaced and I still need to replace the left one. I usually travel with my grandchildren and it has been one issue or another since I bought it. The brakes and rotors have also been replaced because it would be slow in braking causing a dangerous situation.

Unlocked the vehicle using the remote. The horn sounded continuously, the wipers were activated and the lights flashed. After taking it to the dealer we were notified that this is caused by a defective tipm module.

Recall: L25 / NHTSA 14V-373 once we received this notice we contacted our local dealership about this recall, and were notified the parts were not available for this year vehicle.move forward to today, I contacted our local dealership and was told that the part in question is still not available, but the parts for the 2010 models are being manufactured and shipped to dealerships, but there is no idea when the part in question for the 2008 models will be manufactured and shipped. So I called the Chrysler group recall assistance center I spoke to a person by the name of frank and he basically told me the same thing except the company is currently only concentrating on the 2010 models and it is unknown when they will work on the 2008 models. I feel this backward way of thinking is putting earlier model purchasers' at risk with a bit of disregard, for said owners!!!!!!

Many, many, many times this has happened. I will either be slowing down for a red light, to make a turn, or hit a bump and the car shuts off. No particular reason, no idiot lights come on indicating a problem. If I didn't pay attention to the heating/cooling fan, it shuts off, I wouldn't know this has happened. Twice I have been driving on the freeway, hit a bump and the car shuts off. 65 mph with children and pets in the car!. a couple of times the car has just shut off at a stop, no bump, nothing apparent. I have been in to the dealership three times, spending large amounts of money and all they can say to me is I'm sorry we could not duplicate the situation. I received a recall notice on 09-15-2014 about the problem and as of this date, 01-16-2015 I have not been notified that it is my turn to get the ignition fixed. My husband and I both called the dealership two times each and all they can say is that the part hasn't been manufactured or that they haven't heard anything from Chrysler.

I have had trouble getting my key out of the ignition. It gets stuck in the acc mode. After shifting through the gears several times it usually releases and allows me to get it out. However, when I went to start my car the other morning, my key wouldn't even go in the slot at all!!! now, I am stuck with this crap van that costs a ton to fix. I called the dealer about the L-25 recall because mine hasn't been fixed and they were told by Chrysler that they can't fix that right now. Apparently, whatever they were doing to fix it wasn't working so until they come up with another plan, they can't do it. I hate to pay to fix a part that they will have to replace on recall anyway. Chrysler vans are junk.
