The contact owns a 2008 Chrysler Town & Country. The contact stated that the air bag warning lamp illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who diagnosed that the air bag module was sending a mass amount of electrical current to one of the air bags. As a result, the module would need to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure who did not offer any assistance since the vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign id number: 11V394000 (air bags:frontal:sensor/control module). The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was 67,000.

I received mailed information on safety recall K25 for a 2008 Chrysler Town & Country, which stated that an HVAC drain tube and grommet could leak and, in part, cause the airbag warning light to come on. Shortly after I receved this notice, the light did come on, so I took the van in for repairs. The recall work was supposedly done but the light is still on and now the dealership is asking for $100 to look at it. Based on previous dealings with them I know this garage is dishonest and I question whether the work was even completed. Is there a way I can get this repaired properly?

The contact owns a 2008 Chrysler Town and country. The contact stated that the air bag sensor was illuminated, he then received notification of NHTSA campaign id number: 10V611000 (equipment: Electrical: Air conditioner) and the vehicle was taken to the dealer for repairs. The contact stated that as it was stated in the recall summary, a leak at the heating and air conditioner drain could cause the air bag light to illuminate and because his air bag warning light was illuminated, the technician stated that the contact would have to have the vehicle diagnosed before repairs and the costs would not be covered under the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 80,000.

The contact owns a 2008 Chrysler Town and country. The contact stated that the air bags independently deployed while the vehicle was sitting idle in the contact's garage. The dealer advised they were unable to repair the vehicle because there were four separate components of the air bag that worked together within the system and reads the module. The module was destroyed when the air bags deployed and the dealer was unable to properly diagnose the exact failure. The manufacturer was contacted and the dealer was awaiting a response before proceeding with any repairs. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage and current mileage was 56,962. While driving down the street the airbag on my 2008 Chrysler Town and country minivan deployed. There were three occupants in the vehicle. My arm was bruised and cut during the accident. My daughter had her head shoved through the passenger side window by her airbag. My grandson was coughing and choking on the powder from the airbag. Unable to see, I managed to slow the vehicle to a stop without causing any further damage to my vehicle or any others. The police and insurance adjusters looked at the vehicle and could find no physical reason for the airbags to deploy.
