The valve stem broke and is an expensive fix. I have read online that this is habitual with these cheaply made stems. They should cover this under warranty.

This vehicle has 40000 miles on it. Approximately after a month of owning it, the tmps valve stem broke off the tire while refilling with air. The sensor has now broken off three separate tires. I researched whether this was an ongoing issue with these vehicles and found out that is has been. Why is nothing being done about this" what would happen if someone was driving on the road when this happened" these valve stems are aluminum, not rubber and they corrode quickly. Also, they are not cheap to replace approx. $100 ea. Something should be done about this before there are serious injuries or deaths from faulty equipment.

The contact owns a 2010 Chrysler Town and country. The contact stated that the tires valve stems were damaged. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who verified that the valve stems were defective and needed to be repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure who did not offer any assistance. The failure mileage was 32,000 and the current mileage was 40,000.

This had happened several times since we bought this from the dealer. I would be driving and have no control over the van, I had to come to a stop and put it in park and then start it up again.very dangerous. My second complaint is a tire went flat less then a year of having the vehicle. I was told by the tire repair mechanic that there was a plug and these are 2008 tires and 2007 rims and that tube where the air goes in was brass and it should not be.he seemed to think they gave us used tire and rims on our vehicle. He said he has seen this where a dealer puts the newer rims and tires on another vechicle to sell it and us unsuspecting customers did not know they had been replaced.

The tire pressure monitor sensors on the 2010 Chrysler Town and country have valve stems that are built into the sensor - they cannot be separated. The valve stems are aluminum, and they break extremely easily. I bought this vehicle (used) in September, and within less than 3 months all four stems have broken. Fortunately, each time I found one of the broken, the van was in my driveway, and they were not leaking air. In every case, the aluminum was badly corroded - something that shouldn't happen on a vehicle that is less than two years old. The stems should have been made from a material that is less likely to corrode, such as rubber.

Problem appeared at 48,500 miles, severe front wheel bearing noise & vibration leading to brake performance unstable. Severe vibration caused a) "traction control light permanently on". B) ABS braking on/off. Front right hub wheel bearing replaced at 53,500 miles. Above issues a & B were temporarily eliminated. Now front left hub wheel bearing has initiated with noise & vibration problem @ 54,000 miles. Severe front left hub wheel bearing has caused brake problems. Vehicle is not stopping and vehicle is awaiting hub wheel bearing replacement at 56,552 miles. Surprisingly: Front left hub wheel bearing on 23aug10 is not available at any parts store, existence or availability is "cero".
