I was really pissed off about this problem. This car that we had for not even a year, and the factory warranty is bullshit. Every car I had ever brought came with a warranty up to 100,000 miles. So I might be contacting a lawyer or better business agency.

For several months, randomly, my car does not want to start. When I turn the key, the engine turns as if it is going to start/ignite but never does. This is not a battery problem. If I put my foot on the gas, the engine will then start. This has probably happened over a dozen times but the intervals between this happening were so far apart, I thought it was a fluke of some kind. Now however, it has happened more often. I remember it happening at least two times while Christmas shopping, then last month, before our Anniversary and then this month, it happened twice last week and also twice this week.

I called the Dodge dealership about this problem and my engine cutting off while driving and the service tech said he had never heard of such a thing. I did my research on the internet and found a problem with 2011 Dodge Avenger. Although mine is a 2012, I believe it was built in 2011. I have printed out this information and also showed in the info that Chrysler may have said that the "PCM" shuts the engine off at slow speeds. Don't know if this would effect the starting of the engine or not, but will give the tech this printout. I will update when once dealership looks it over.

I hope they don't blow me off with this internet information! These are serious problems and I paid good money for this car and expect that I should be able to get into my car and it start and also drive it without fear of being stranded and car shutting off while driving!!!
