CarComplaints.com Notes: Consumer Reports road tests has noted deficiencies in the 2012 Avenger with regard to engine noise, acceleration, braking, handling, transmission, fuel economy, driving position and rear visibility. But at least it has a cool marketing campaign ... right?
Took my car into Barton Dodge to have a recall fixed on the air bag. They fixed the recall but my airbag light was still on. They said it had nothing to do with the recall and for $200 they would diagnose the problem. What ever!
So my air bag light came on so I searched the internet and saw that there was a recall. I called the Chrysler 800 # and the lady who answered told me that once the recall was fixed that it would fix my problem. I then scheduled my appt and a few hours later it was ready. Went and picked it up at lunch, pulled out of the service dept and the light came back on. Took it back and that's when it hit the fan. They told me that it would cost me at least $300 for the ORC module. Said I would think about it. Came home did some research and was pissed. Why doesn't Dodge do the right thing here? Is it cheaper to settle out of court on a wrongful death lawsuit than fix the problem? That's what I told Chrysler. Still pissed. I will never buy another Dodge again!!!
