Avenger LX 3.2L V6

My daughter has a 2014 Dodge Avenger. Yesterday the Battery light came on and stayed on for rest of the day.

When she came home she cut the car off and it would not start back up. After 30 minutes the car started back up. We took it for a test drive and the car started jerking as if it wasn't getting any gas and loss of power.

What is the problem? Is it the battery making it do this? Please help.

On December 10, 2016, I took my 2014 Dodge Avenger in for diagnosis/repair because the engine was stalling/shutting off when stopped or getting ready to stop. The dealership didn't find anything even though I voiced my concern the motor could/would turn off while driving. My concern came horribly true on December 13, 2016;my vehicle shut down twice while driving 45 mph coming very close to getting hit in the rear of the vehicle. Luckily, the dealership is located between where I live and where I work. By the time I made it to the dealership, I was in FULL BLOWN anxiety/panic attack. I voiced my concern that I had been there on Dec. 10th and nothing wrong was found, and that OBVIOUSLY, something was very wrong because it had gotten worse. Later on that day I was told that the TIPM (Totally Integrated Power Module) needed replacement. My vehicle is still under warranty, thankfully, so there was no cost to me! Once told of the TIPM issue, I went online and researched this part. I saw many models had the same problem and that Chrysler had settled a lawsuit over thousands/millions of 2007-2014 Chrysler vehicles with defective TIPM's.

Just last week I saw a Dodge Charger on the side of the road and wonder if this was the same issue as mine. At this point, I can't refer anyone to buy any Chrysler vehicle.....such a shame because I really love my car, but after this ordeal, I'm paranoid wondering what else will go wrong!!

I Accepted delivery of this New vehicle on 1/24/14 , and reported that vehicle stalled at traffic lights or upon braking on 1/27/2014. During these times, RPM lowers to Zero and occasionally stalls and becomes slow to accelerate after each normal/sudden traffic stop. Vehicle was purchased from Gator Chrysler/Dodge dealership in Melbourne Florida. The dealership has not been successful in addressing the malfunctions which I believe to be an emission/fuel issue. I've taken the vehicle in for the same problems 3 or more times but to no avail. unfortunately I haven't exercised my options under State Lemon laws but vow to never purchase or recommend anyone to this dealership or a Chrysler product due to failed ethical operating standards. I've experienced other unethical instances but will lend my focus to safety issues of the vehicles ONLY. One such issue is that of a factory defect in the front windshield.
