Brought car into dealership to have them check for trouble lights. Computer did not identify any problems or history of problems. They did find the rack and pinion needed replacement for $1300. That was a month ago and the trouble lights continued. Usually I just restarted the vehicle to make them go away. The other day it completely died; had power, but would not turn over. Had it towed from the house; customer service rep apologized for not catching it the previous month, said it was the intake plenum and it would run $2100 (did not charge for the diagnostic because I had done it last month). REP ALSO SAID THIS WAS A FREQUENT PROBLEM BUT THERE ARE NO RECALLS.
