I had parked my 2007 Dodge Charger R/T, and later that night about to leave for work my gear shift was stuck in park. I have tried everything to get it unstuck with no luck. I am very frustrated due to the fact that there was a recall for this issue however my vehicle was not in the time frame for the recall. There have been hundreds of complaints and yet no one has helped us.
I was using the scissor jack on my 2007 Dodge Charger to place my car on jack stands in order to change the oil. As I was removing the jack stands, the scissor jack failed while the car was raised far enough to remove the jack stand. Had I not use jack stands I certainly would have been crushed. I know that many folks do no employ jack stands while working on their cars and this equipment defect certainly has the potential to kill somebody.
