The contact owns a 2008 Dodge Charger. While the vehicle was undergoing routine maintenance, the contact was informed that the radiator was fractured and needed to be replaced. The contact was informed that the fan blades separated from the shroud and caused the radiator to fracture. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 130,000.
The contact owns a 2008 Dodge Charger. While at a stop light, there was an abnormal noise coming from the vehicle and the steering wheel seized without warning. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence and then taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the radiator fan fractured. The vehicle was repaired but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 71,000.
The cooling system fan blades came apart and the shrouds of the fan went thru the radiator causing immediate leakage of all coolant and destroying the radiator.
