I purchased this vehicle on 02/15/2014. Drove it home and the check engine light came on 02/17/2014. I returned to the dealership on the same day. The service writer at the time advised me that it was a "code 13", but due the the volume of cars they had under repair the couldn't even look at mine until a week later (02/24/2014). I returned on 02/24/2014 as requested and left my vehicle. I was advised it would be a 2 to 6 hour repair job. as of 02/25/2014, I had not heard from the dealership so I called them. When I did get someone on the line I was advised that they had to order parts and once the part got it my vehicle would be ready. I called again on 02/27/2014 and was advised that my part had just arrived 2 hours prior to my call and they would get it installed as soon as possible. I called again about my vehicle on 03/03/2014 and was advised that my vehicle was test driven, but was not ready to go yet. On 03/04/2014, The service writer called me back and advised that they had to order a wiring harness that was on back order and that they had no "ETA" on when they could get it. It still has never been explaind what is wrong with the car, nor has it been explained why they have to keep ordering parts, Nor have they explained how a Dealership has to back order parts. As of this writing my vehicle has been in the shop for half the time I have owned it.

Update from Mar 11, 2014: Update 03/11/2014: So I finally contacted the “Chrysler Customer Service" number and was advised that they were aware of the problem and would be forwarding my complaint to "The Back Order Parts Division". What the heck is that??? I had to return the rental that was covered in my warranty because it only provides for 5-days of coverage. (Yes, you have a minimum of 5 days coverage even when parts are back ordered three weeks. I didn't know Detroit was that far away). The Customer service person then told me that the Service Manager would be calling me. Five days later, I still have not heard from the Service manager. I did however, get a call from Chrysler advising me to call the Service department. Why should I have to do that? I'm the customer. They should be servicing me. So as of this date I have owned the car for four weeks, driven it for three days, and it's been in the shop ever since with no estimated time of repair and no compensation for my time lost at work, vacations cancelled, and extra incurred expenses of substitute travel. Not to mention that I’m still on the hook because Chrysler won’t even stand behind their product enough to at least buy it back. Thanks Chrysler!!!

Update from Aug 17, 2016: Check Engine light, Part 2

So the check engine light comes on again. I take it back to the dealership again and drop it off on 07/31/2016. I get a call from the service writer on 08/02/2016. I explian the problem and she advises that it will take a few days to get looked at (After the 30 days it took before, this didn't surprise me). I advise that I'm okay with that and move on. On 08/06/2016 I get a call from the "substitute service writer" (Apparently mine is on vacation), who advises me that there are several "Suggested" repairs that was noted upon inspecting my vehicle. I asked him about the check engine light and he had no idea as to what I was talking about. He then says the check engine light could not be duplicated and there is no problem found. He does make another "Suggestion" that I get some type of software update and the price of $100. WOW!! However, he did note that I had a warranty and says he will call the warranty company on the following monday (08/08/2016)to see if they will authorize the other "Suggested" repairs. I never heard back from anyone so I went to the dealership on 08/14/2016. Once again, my service writer wasn't available so I spoke to one that was on duty. She pulled my file and guess what? No one ever called the warranty company!! So now she shows me the cash price for the "Suggested" repairs which comes up to about $1500. She does leave a note for my assigned service writer to call the warranty company on 08/15/2016. I've called back twice and gotten no one. So as of this date, 08/17/20016, I'm 18 days in with no expectation of when or if I'll ever drive my vehicle again. The Uber drivers that I've been using drive a Chevy and a KIA. The Chevy Dealer says if my car takes 30 days like it did the first time he will take it at an even trade for me, I'm really thinking hard on that offer. Thanks Landmark for another satisfying experience.......
