Dodge, Durango: The brake do not have to be applied to place vehicle into gear or switch gear positions. There is similar to a recall. But this is Chrysler town and country but not Durango. No repairs or corrections at this time. Has not been to a dealer or repair service at this time. Has not contacted daimler/Chrysler. Consumer wanted to file complaint because vehicle was not included in the recall.

When the gear shift lever is put all the way into the park positioning, sometimes vehicle will not indicate it is in any gear at all, there is a square which surrounds the park, drive, neutral etc. On the gear indicator, and none of them will be outlined, in addition to sometimes not indicating the vehicle is in gear, it can be in a different gear than indicated, vehicle has been in repair shop 3 times and has been told that this happens, and there is no repair for the problem.
